Jimena Hernández-Fernández

Jimena holds a PhD in Education from the Centre for International Education of University of Sussex (UK), a Master’s in Administration and Public Policy from the Centre for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE) and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico). She is currently Research Professor at the Interdisciplinary Program on Educational Policies and Practices (PIPE) of CIDE.  Jimena’s research focuses on the economics of education; design and evaluation of educational policy; as well as access, transition and educational progression.

Jimena is editor of the book: “Looking for Innovation and Systemic Improvement in Quality English Teaching” with Javier Rojas published in 2018 by CIDE and the British Council, and author of the book: “The Development of school leadership in England: insights and learnings” published in 2020 by the British Council.
