Manish is a Professor at the Public Policy and Management Group, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Kolkata. He is the author of two books – Indian Village: A Conceptual History (Rawat, Delhi, 2014) and The Quest for Indian Sociology (IIAS, Shimla, 2014) – and has co-edited two volumes – Management Education in India: Perspectives and Practices (Springer, 2017) and Doing Theory: Locations, Hierarchies and Disjunctions (Orient BlackSwan, 2018).
