Subhodip Ghosh

Mr. Subhodip Ghosh, Director General of The Bengal Chamber, is an economist by training and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics with specialization in World Economy from the School of International Studies of India’s elite Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is also an alumnus of the US Department of State’s Flagship Exchange Programme, International Visitor’s Leadership Programme (IVLP). Mr. Ghosh has publications in peer reviewed journals and edited books. Having two decades of work experience in Chambers of Commerce and Research, he is an expert in leading international business delegations and connecting businesses across nations (namely, US, 13 APEC Nations, European Union, NAFTA members, SAARC and ASEAN Countries). He hosted over 60 Foreign Delegations to India and has a strong network with overseas Chambers of Commerce, trade experts, policy makers and Governments. He was consulted during the process of opening of the Australian Consulate General in Kolkata. He oversees the activities of more than 30 Expert Committees of The Chamber that include Economic Affairs, Trade Fair & Business Development and others.
